Welcome to theater erinnert!

In Austria, extraordinarily impressive theatre // performance productions have emerged in the past decade, each of which takes up the question of how the remembrance of the Shoah can be carried on, made public and kept visible in a very unique artistic way when the direct contemporary witnesses can no longer bear witness to it. Some of the productions involve the survivors // contemporary witnesses directly, some work with their testimonies. 

theater erinnert wants to make these theatre // performance productions accessible to the public, which make the historical moment of the transformation of testimony a central theme and work with it in formally different specific artistic ways.
